Types of Magnets

Objects having magnetic field are known as Magnets. We at ERICH Manufacture and Export various different types of Magnets. These Magnets have a very wide range of applications and are used in various different kinds of industries.

Normally magnets are of two types- Permanent magnets and Electro magnets. Permanent magnets are those magnets which occur in nature and do not depend upon any external source for their magnetic field. On the other hand Electromagnets are those which use electric current to generate magnetic field. Various Types of Magnets are categorized as follows:

Ceramic Magnets

Ceramic (ferrite) permanent magnets are composed of strontium carbonate and iron oxide. They are charcoal gray in color and usually appear in the forms of discs, rings, blocks, cylinders, and sometimes arcs for motors.

Applications of Ceramic Magnets

Speaker magnets, DC brushless motors, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Magnetos used on lawnmowers and outboard motors, DC permanent magnet motors (used in cars), Separators (separate ferrous material from non-ferrous), Used in magnetic assemblies designed for lifting, holding, retrieving, and separating.

Channel Magnets

We at ERICH also manufacture and export Permanent Channel Magnets which are used for the removal of iron from less strongly contaminated material, from free flowing granular material like Rice, Flair, Glaze, Slip (ceramic material), Glass, Mineral Powder, Liquid material, Slurry, Chemical, Food products, from any kind of materials processing machine or machine outlet.

To meet the specific operation and plant conditions, we design our Permanent Magnetic channel in various sizes & strengths. These can also be used for the removal of tramp iron from material carried in chute. The magnet proves to be a very important and useful source and medium in the process of chemical slurry.
